GIFT Nifty Hits Record $106.22 Billion Monthly Turnover

GIFT Nifty, the international Nifty futures contract, achieved a record monthly turnover of $106.22 billion in October 2025, surpassing its previous high of $102.35 billion set in May 2025.

Exponential Growth Trajectory

Trading turnover on NSE International Exchange (NSEIX) has shown exponential growth since GIFT Nifty’s full-scale operations began on July 3, 2023. The platform has recorded over 52.77 million contracts to date.

NSEIX, established on June 5, 2017 at GIFT City, holds over 99.7% market share in GIFT IFSC and is recognized by the International Financial Services Centres Authority.

The exchange offers comprehensive financial products including:

  • Currency derivatives and depository receipts
  • Global stocks and primary market products
  • ESG debt securities and SPACs listings

Government Support

The milestone coincides with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s October announcement of a foreign currency settlement system in GIFT City, aimed at boosting international trade and investment.
