Stephen Curry continues recovery from knee injury

Stephen Curry’s injury dates back to a January 30 game against the Detroit Pistons. He left the game during the third quarter after appearing uncomfortable following a play.

Medical tests later confirmed patellofemoral pain syndrome, often called runner’s knee, along with bone bruising.

Further scans did not show structural damage. Even so, the Warriors decided not to rush him back. The 37-year-old has been going through rehab and has slowly increased his on-court activity during recent workouts.

Team updates say Curry has started more intense basketball work. However, the Warriors plan to evaluate his condition again around March 21 or March 23.

That means he will miss at least several more games.

Golden State has struggled during this stretch and is currently on a three-game losing streak. Head coach Steve Kerr has said Curry has stayed active in rehab while the team manages games without him in the lineup.
