Govt announced Rs 500 crore for development of the newly carved Kushavati district, comprising talukas relatively backward compared to others and lacking industries. Chief minister Pramod Sawant said the focus next financial year will be modernisation and upgradation of basic infrastructure across districts in the state.
To improve transparency, paperless e-office systems and record digitisation will be introduced. Integrated command and control centres will be upgraded, collectors will seek ISO certification, and district administrations will aim to clear pending forest rights cases.
