‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ aka ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is all anyone is talking about with the film set to take over theatres in two weeks. As the clock ticks down to the release of the Aditya Dhar directorial, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, all eyes have turned to the box office to see if the film has what it takes to score another Rs 1,000 crore blockbuster at the box office.
The highly anticipated second part of the spy thriller, has opened its advance bookings in the US and the numbers indicate that the film will be off to a good start. In fact, if the latest reports are anything to go by, then the film has already outperformed its opening day collections with still 13 days to go before its release.

With all the buzz around the film, trade trackers report that the film has recorded impressive pre-sales across the USA. According to data from industry tracker Venky Box Office, the film logged another strong day in advance bookings, with opening day ticket sales estimated at approximately USD 330K. With these figures, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has already surpassed the Day 1 US collections of the first instalment, ‘Dhurandhar’, which reportedly earned USD 317K.

Meanwhile, the report adds that the advance ticket sales for the film’s opening weekend have already crossed the USD 500K mark, with estimated gross collection touching USD 565K so far.

‘Toxic’ bows out of clash with ‘Dhurandhar 2’
As per the report, the surge in advance bookings comes after the postponement of the Yash starrer, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ which was originally slated to clash with the film on March 19. With the movie now bowing out of a clash and setting up a 4 June 2026 release, the Ranveer starrer now has space to flex at the box office.
‘Dhurandhar 2’ to clash with ‘Project Hail Mary’
However, the sequel will still face competition from Hollywood. ‘Project Hail Mary’, starring Ryan Gosling, is scheduled to arrive in theatres a day later, on 20 March. According to trade reports on Deadline, the sci-fi film is eyeing a USD 50 million opening weekend in North America. Made on a USD 150 million budget, the film reportedly has a runtime of 2 hours and 36 minutes, while ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is said to have a significantly longer runtime of nearly 4 hours.
