UGC NET December 2025: NTA issues important advisory for candidates to verify Aadhaar, UDID details; check details here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory for candidates registering for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 session, asking them to ensure that their Aadhaar Card and Unique Disability ID (UDID) details are accurate before submitting their application forms.

The NTA has already started accepting online applications for the exam on the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can apply between October 7 and November 7, 2025. The national-level test will be conducted in December 2025 and January 2026, covering 85 subjects. The examination serves as a qualifying test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges.

on Aadhaar and UDID details

In its official notice, the agency said that applicants must ensure all personal details in their identification documents match those entered in the UGC NET application form. “To streamline the application process for UGC NET December 2025, candidates should verify that their Aadhaar and UDID details are correct and up to date,” the notice stated.

The NTA further added that the Aadhaar Card must reflect the correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), updated photograph, address, and father’s name.

Candidates with disabilities have also been instructed to confirm that their UDID Card is valid and renewed as per the latest government guidelines.

UGC NET December 2025: Steps to apply

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for UGC NET December session by following the steps below:

  • Visit the official website: ugcnet. nta. nic. in or nta. ac. in.

  • Click on “New Registration” and enter personal and educational details.

  • Upload scanned photograph, signature, and PwD certificate if applicable.

  • Pay the application fee online.

  • Download and keep the confirmation page safely for future reference.

Correction window to open from November 10 to 12
