Authorities in Budgam, Kashmir have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against social media influencers after a viral video showed them driving vehicles across protected forest meadows. The incident in Breinwar forests sparked widespread online outrage and demands for strict action.

Official Confirmation
Deputy Commissioner Dr Bilal M Bhat confirmed the FIR through a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Action under relevant sections of IFA already initiated.”
According to Kashmir News Observer reports, the Forest Department filed the complaint after authenticating the video and confirming the location as Breinwar forests. The case has been registered at Chadoora Police Station.
Zahoor Ali Khan, Range Officer Doodganga Chadoora, provided an official statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, adventure enthusiasts have urged authorities to establish clear regulations for off-road activities in designated areas with proper guidelines to prevent ecological damage.
