Andhra Pradesh Secures Massive Rs 5.2 Lakh Crore Clean Energy Investment
In a major boost to India’s green energy transition, Andhra Pradesh has secured investment commitments worth Rs 5.2 lakh crore during the first two days of the CII Partnership Summit, with potential to create over 2.6 lakh jobs across the energy sector.

Investment Breakdown
The investment pledges were made on November 13 and 14 during the 30th CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam. On the first day, the state signed deals worth over Rs 2.94 lakh crore, expected to create nearly 70,000 jobs. The following day saw agreements worth over Rs 2.2 lakh crore with potential for nearly two lakh jobs.

Major Investor: ReNew Energy
UK-based ReNew Energy Global announced an investment of Rs 60,000 crore ($6.7 billion) in Andhra Pradesh for multiple green energy projects. This brings ReNew’s total fresh investment in the state to Rs 82,000 crore ($9.3 billion), following its earlier commitment of Rs 22,000 crore in May 2025 for one of India’s largest hybrid renewable energy projects.
