The release date for Dhurandhar: The Revenge is locked for March 19 and is already generating massive buzz among fans. As anticipation builds for the next chapter of the blockbuster franchise, reports suggest that the makers are planning a special trailer drop around Holi to kick off promotions in a big way.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the trailer is likely to be unveiled on March 3, just a day before Holi. Instead of hosting a traditional red carpet event, the team is reportedly planning a direct digital launch.
Earlier last month, a teaser was released, dividing the internet. Many felt that there was no need for a teaser release when it was the same as the post-credit scene in the first part of Dhurandhar.
The trailer is expected to give a better glimpse into Hamza’s new world, where he’s leading Lyari from the front. The teaser already hinted at the same earlier.
After emerging as the biggest hit of 2025, Dhurandhar set high expectations for its sequel. According to Bollywood Hungama, the second instalment, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, could turn out to be one of the longest films in Hindi cinema.
The reported runtime of Dhurandhar: The Revenge is approximately 235 minutes (three hours and 55 minutes), making it even more expansive than the first film. An official confirmation regarding the final runtime is expected soon.
Last month, the CBFC cleared the first promotional glimpse of the sequel and granted it an A (Adults Only) certificate. The teaser, with an approved runtime of 1 minute and 48 seconds, hinted at a sharp and intense continuation of the franchise’s gritty action-thriller tone.
Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026. The film will clash at the box office with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash. Additionally, Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, will also hit theatres on the same day.
The ensemble cast of the sequel includes R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun in important roles.
