Thousands of Vodafone customers across the UK experienced a significant internet outage on Monday, affecting broadband, 4G, and 5G services. The disruption began after 2 pm, leaving many without home internet and some unable to access mobile data.
More than 100,000 customers reported service issues, according to the monitoring website DownDetector. The outage also impacted access to Vodafone’s own corporate website.
A company spokeswoman stated:
“We are aware of a major issue on our network currently affecting broadband, 4G and 5G services. We appreciate our customers’ patience while we work to resolve this as soon as possible.”
The issue also affected users of Voxi, the mobile operator owned by Vodafone. The telecom giant serves over 18 million customers in the UK, including approximately 700,000 home broadband subscribers.
