Google is believed to be working on the Pixel 11 series for some time now. In the past few weeks, rumours have left little to the imagination, at least when it comes to the design of the Pixel 11 devices. And now, a new leak seems to have revealed the potential specs of the purported Pixel 11 Pro Fold, giving us a clue on what to expect from Google’s next foldable.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be an important device for Google. Apple is rumoured to launch the iPhone Fold later this year, which may give Google stiff competition in the foldable smartphone market.
The latest leak came from tipster Rincon de Mellis on X, revealing the potential display specifications, chipset and the storage options of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Rincon has also shared details of the purported Pixel 11 Pro and the Pixel 11 Pro XL that you can read here.
Before we begin, do note that Google is yet to officially announce the Pixel 11 series.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, what’s new?
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to come with a similar design to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While renders show a square-ish camera module, a larger area seems to be black now. This falls in line with other purported Pixel 11 devices that are likely to get an all-black camera module.
Though as per the leak, the big change could be on the front of the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The 6.3-inch OLED outer screen will likely come with reduced bezels, something that could be noticeable. It is believed that the inner screen may be larger at 8.1-inch compared to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. This may be possible due to thinner bezels.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will likely use Google’s Tensor G6 chipset. This chipset is expected to be based on a 2nm process, which should bring noticeable gains in performance and efficiency compared to the 3nm-based Tensor G5.
At the time of writing, it is unclear if the Pixel 11 Pro Fold may get the new Pixel Glow LED lighting feature or under-display Face ID, something that the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are rumoured to get.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold, here is what we know
When it comes to storage, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold will likely get 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, similar to last year.
The rest of the specsheet may be similar to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold too, including the cameras. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold came with a triple camera setup – a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
It is unclear if Google will fit a bigger battery in the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. To give you some context, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold packed a 5,015mAh cell. You will also likely get support for Qi2 wireless charging, which would make the device compatible with MagSafe.
Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold launch and expected price
Google will likely announce its next-generation foldable alongside the rest of the Pixel 11 series in August this year. However, last time around, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold went on sale around 6 weeks after its slab-like counterparts. It is not clear if Google will adopt a similar timeline this time around.
In terms of pricing, you can expect the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold to be priced in the same ballpark as its predecessor. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold starts in India at Rs 1,72,999.
