Poco has launched the Poco X8 Pro series in India today, per schedule. The lineup spawns two models: Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max. The two are mostly identical with major differences coming by way of chipset and battery capacity. The Poco X8 Pro Max, as you can probably tell from the name, is more powerful. Poco is also launching a limited Iron Man edition of the Poco X8 Pro for Marvel fans who are into collectibles.

The Poco X8 Pro Max is the flagship model in this year’s Poco X8 Pro series. This phone comes with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can top 3,500 nits and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset and a 9,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. The Poco X8 Pro on the other hand has a smaller 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor and a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support baked in. With the X8 Pro, Poco is offering RAM and storage up to 12GB and 256GB, respectively.

The Poco X8 Pro is equipped with a 5,300 sq mm vapour chamber along with an 11,000 sq mm graphite layer for thermal management. The Poco X8 Pro Max features a slightly larger 5,800 sq mm heat dissipation system, also paired with a graphite layer for improved cooling during heavy usage.

Rest of the specs are mostly common across the two smartphones. The front camera is a 20-megapixel. Both phones are running Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0 software with Poco committing to four years of major OS and six years of security updates. The Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max have virtually the same design and are IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K certified for dust and water resistance. They have dual speakers and in-display fingerprint readers for biometric authentication.
