Malaika Arora turns heads in ₹2.79 lakh pink saree at Kritika Kamra–Gaurav Kapur’s intimate wedding

Actor Kritika Kamra and television host–cricket presenter Gaurav Kapur kept things quiet when they celebrated their wedding with a small reception on March 11. The gathering took place at Kapur’s Bandra home and, from the sounds of it, the vibe was warm and intimate. No massive red carpet moment, just close friends and family turning up to celebrate the couple.

Among the guests was actor and style favourite Malaika Arora. And honestly, she arrived in a look that felt just right for a wedding evening – elegant, festive, but not trying too hard.

Malaika’s soft pink saree moment

Malaika has never really played it safe with fashion. She experiments a lot – different silhouettes, bold styling, sometimes even unexpected fabrics. But for this evening, she leaned into something classic.

She wore a delicate dust-pink tulle saree that looked soft, romantic and very reception-appropriate. The outfit came from designer label Gauri & Nainika, and on the brand’s website it’s listed as the “Lattice Saree With Blouse A”. The price? ₹2,79,000.

And yes, it looked every bit like a designer piece.

The saree itself had plenty going on in terms of detail. The borders carried scalloped gold lace embroidery, while the body featured a lattice pattern filled with tiny pops of colour—greens, blues, yellows, pinks and oranges.

Up close, there were also sequins and small beaded floral elements stitched into the design. Nothing too flashy, but enough to catch the light when she moved.

The way she styled it

Malaika kept the drape traditional, which actually worked beautifully with the delicate fabric. The pallu was left long and fluid, falling from her shoulder and almost grazing the floor. It let the embroidery really stand out.

She paired it with a matching dust-pink blouse that echoed the same lattice work. The blouse had lace borders, multicoloured embroidery and a sleeveless cut. The neckline dipped into a deep V, and the cropped length showed just a hint of midriff—classic Malaika styling.

Jewellery, hair and makeup

Instead of piling on jewellery, she picked a few pieces that made their presence felt. A kundan choker necklace sat neatly around her neck, paired with matching earrings. She also wore traditional kundan kadhas and a few statement rings.

Celebs at Kritika Kamra and Gaurav Kapur's wedding ceremony.

Her hair was pulled back into a centre-parted low bun with a slightly messy twist. Not overly polished, which actually made the look feel more relaxed.

The makeup followed the same idea. Defined brows, soft smoky eyes, mascara-coated lashes and blush on the cheeks. Her lips had a glossy mauve-pink shade, and there was a generous sweep of highlighter that gave her skin that familiar glow.

A very private celebration

The reception itself stayed low-key, just the way the couple seems to like it. The wedding ceremony had already taken place privately at Kapur’s Mumbai residence, followed by a small pooja.

Friends who attended included Soha Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and Amrita Arora. A few cricket names were also spotted, including Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra and Virender Sehwag.

The couple behind the celebration

Both Kritika and Gaurav have always been fairly private about their personal lives, so the quiet celebration didn’t really surprise anyone.

Kritika first became a household name with shows like Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Reporters. Gaurav, on the other hand, is well known in the cricket world as a presenter and as the creator of the YouTube talk show Breakfast with Champions.

So yes, the evening was really about celebrating the couple. But quietly, in the middle of all that, Malaika’s soft pink saree had its own little moment. And sometimes that’s how fashion works best – elegant, effortless, and memorable without shouting for attention.
