Vivo T5x 5G announced, launching in India on March 17 with big battery and price less than Rs 23,000

Vivo has confirmed the launch date of the Vivo T5x 5G in India. The smartphone will debut on March 17 and will join the company’s T-series lineup in the country. The handset will succeed the Vivo T4x 5G, which was introduced in March last year. Here’s what we know about the smartphone.

Vivo T5x specs and features

The company confirmed that the upcoming Vivo T5x 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset. The company teased that the device has scored more than 1 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. The smartphone is also confirmed to run OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.

One of the key highlights of the Vivo T5x 5G is its large 7,200mAh battery, which the brand claims will be the biggest in its segment. The company says the handset is designed to deliver extended usage for activities such as streaming, gaming and browsing without frequent charging. Reports suggest the phone could support 44W fast charging.

In terms of durability, the Vivo T5x 5G will feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Vivo has compared these features with devices in the sub-Rs 23,000 segment, hinting at the possible pricing range of the smartphone in India. A teaser from the company also described the device as the “fastest phone under Rs 23,000 as of March 5, 2026”.

After launch, the Vivo T5x 5G will be available for purchase via Flipkart, the Vivo India online store, and authorised offline retail outlets across the country.

More details about the smartphone are expected to be revealed at the official launch event on March 17.

The Vivo T5x 5G succeeds the Vivo T4x 5G, which launched in India in March last year. The T4x comes with a 6.72-inches display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 7300 chipset and packs a 6500 mAh battery, with 44W wired charging. For photography, it is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor paired with an 8-megapixel front camera. The Vivo T4x runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. It came in two colourways: Pronto Purple and Marine Blue.
