WBJEE 2026 notification released; examination scheduled for May 24

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has issued the official notification for the WBJEE 2026 examination, outlining the schedule for registration, admit cards and the test date. The entrance examination for admission to undergraduate engineering and related programmes in the state will be conducted on May 24.

According to the schedule released by the board, the online application process will open on March 10 and remain available until April 5. Candidates seeking admission through the state-level entrance examination must complete the registration and fee payment within this period through the official portal.

The notification states that the application process, including payment of fees, will run from March 10 to April 5. Applicants will be required to submit their forms online and complete the payment process within the same timeline.

Following the closure of the application window, the board will provide a correction facility allowing candidates to modify certain details in their submitted forms.

This correction period will be available from April 7 to April 9.

During this stage, applicants will be able to review their submitted information and download the revised confirmation page after making the permitted changes. The board has advised candidates to carefully verify their details before the correction window closes.

The WBJEE 2026 admit cards will be made available for download from May 15. Registered candidates will be able to access their hall tickets online until May 24 at 4:00 p.m.

The entrance examination will take place on May 24 and will be conducted in two separate papers on the same day. Paper I, which covers Mathematics, will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Paper II, consisting of Physics and Chemistry, will be conducted later in the day from 2:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. Candidates appearing for the examination will be required to attend both papers as part of the admission process.

The board has not yet specified the date for the announcement of results. The notification indicates that the result publication schedule will be released at a later stage.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, headquartered at Rupanna, DB 118, Sector I, Salt Lake City, Kolkata, stated that the announced dates remain tentative and may be changed in extraordinary circumstances if required.
