Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were spotted enjoying a family outing on Thursday as they took their daughter Raha Kapoor to watch the India–England T20 semi-final at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Several photos and videos of the trio from the stadium quickly surfaced on social media.
Raha cheers for Team India with her parents
In one of the viral pictures, Raha was seen cheering and clapping while sitting on Ranbir Kapoor’s lap, with Alia Bhatt smiling beside them. Another photo captured a sweet moment where Ranbir rested his head on Raha’s shoulder while talking to her, while Alia was seen chatting with someone seated behind her.
A video from the match also showed the family clapping and smiling as they watched the game unfold from the stands.
In another clip that caught fans’ attention, little Raha pointed towards something on the field and burst into laughter, with both Alia and Ranbir joining in the moment. The candid family interactions quickly won hearts on social media.
Celebrities and cricketers spotted at the stadium
The match turned into a star-studded affair with several celebrities and cricket personalities in attendance. Actors Varun Dhawan, Triptii Dimri and Anil Kapoor were seen at the stadium, along with Mahieka Sharma, who is reportedly dating Hardik Pandya.
Actor Ahaan Shetty was also spotted sitting next to KL Rahul. Meanwhile, former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni attended the match with his wife Sakshi Dhoni, while Rohit Sharma was accompanied by his wife Ritika Sajdeh.
Team India posts massive total
On the field, Team India delivered a memorable batting performance. Sanju Samson led the charge with a brilliant 42-ball 89, continuing his strong form from the previous match against the West Indies and giving the hosts a fiery start.
He was supported by Ishan Kishan, who scored a powerful 39, while Shivam Dube added 43 runs. Tilak Varma chipped in with a quick seven-ball 21, and Hardik Pandya provided a late flourish with a 12-ball 27 cameo as India posted a massive 254-run total.
The score marked India’s highest total by any team in a T20 World Cup knockout match and the fourth-highest overall total in a T20 World Cup game.
