US reached the Stone Age sooner than expected: Iran mocks Trump over Hormuz warning

Iran has turned US President Donald Trump’s own words against him, mocking his threat to send the country “back to the Stone Ages” by saying the United States has already reached that point even as Washington continues to warn of strikes on critical infrastructure.

Trump, in social media posts, had said that Iran must reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday evening or face attacks on “power plants and bridges”, calling it a decisive moment in the ongoing war. However, the language drew as much attention as the threat itself, with him openly hurling insults at Iran.

“Open the Fu***ng’ Strait, you crazy ba***rds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he wrote on Truth Social.

The Strait of Hormuz has become a flashpoint in recent weeks. It is one of the world’s most crucial energy corridors, which has been effectively choked by Iran after US-Israel launched attacks. The movement through the narrow passage severely triggered the hike in fuel prices worldwide.

TRUMP’S ‘STONE AGE’ WARNING

The latest exchange comes days after Trump threatened to push Iran “back to the Stone Ages” if it failed to comply with US demands.

He has repeatedly framed the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz as non-negotiable, warning of sweeping strikes on Tehran’s infrastructure if it does not act within the deadline. In another post, he said “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day.”

IRAN HITS BACK WITH MOCKERY

Iran has consistently rejected US ultimatums, repeating the country will not bow to pressure and warning that threats against civilian infrastructure could amount to war crimes. Iran is pressing the point that it should control traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and appears in no mood to back down.

Tehran launched fresh strikes on energy infrastructure across the Gulf on Sunday, hitting facilities in Kuwait, the UAE and Bahrain despite Trump’s 48-hour deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The group had warned that strikes on US economic interests in the region would intensify if attacks on civilian targets inside Iran continued.
