British Prime Minister Keir Starmer engaged in crucial diplomatic discussions on Saturday, speaking separately with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump about the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
During his conversation with President Zelenskyy, Starmer strongly reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s “steadfast support for Ukraine” against Russian aggression.
The newly elected British leader also discussed the US peace plan for Ukraine with President Trump. Both leaders reached agreement that British and American diplomatic teams would coordinate their efforts on the peace plan during upcoming talks scheduled in Geneva on Sunday.
