Indian National Among Four Killed in Atlanta Domestic Shooting; Suspect Arrested

A 23-year-old man has been arrested after a domestic dispute turned deadly in Atlanta, claiming four lives, including that of an Indian national.

  • Cause: Police confirm the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute between people who knew each other.

The Indian Embassy in the US expressed deep sadness over the incident. In a post on X, it stated: “Deeply saddened by the tragic shooting incident in Atlanta, Georgia, resulting in the loss of four precious lives, including one Indian national. Our deepest condolences to the bereaved families.”

The Embassy added it is in touch with local authorities to ascertain more details and will provide all possible assistance to the family of the deceased.

Police Investigation

According to the Atlanta Police Department, the shooting occurred on Saturday night. Officers responded to find the four victims deceased. The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged.

Authorities have stated the incident was domestic in nature. The identities of the victims are pending notification of next of kin and have not been publicly released.
