The makers of Ramayana are set to take over CinemaCon 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas from April 13 to 16. Actor Yash, who stars as Ravana in the film, will repor attend the event alongside producer Namit Malhotra.
CinemaCon is one of the film industry’s key gatherings. It brings together studios, filmmakers and exhibitors from around the world. The event serves as a platform where films are introduced to trade audiences, footage is screened, and discussions about the cinema business take place.
Ramayana expected to dominate buzz
This year’s event will highlight Indian cinema’s expanding global reach. The conversations will focus on how international audiences are engaging with Indian storytelling and its growing impact in overseas markets. Yash and Namit Malhotra are expected to join these discussions.
Ramayana is likely to be a central topic at CinemaCon. The film’s scale, cultural significance, and global ambitions make it a key talking point. There is anticipation around exclusive footage being presented, offering international exhibitors an early glimpse of the project.
Social media hints at significant presence
Photos circulating on social media show Ramayana posters being displayed at the venue and hint at the film’s significant presence at the convention. These visuals confirm Yash’s participation and the film’s buzz at the event.
A two-part cinematic epic
Ramayana is being developed as a two-part epic, with the first instalment planned for a Diwali 2026 release and the second following in 2027. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as goddess Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
The production involves extensive VFX work by DNEG and is considered one of the most ambitious Indian films in recent years. Yash is also producing the film with Namit Malhotra under the banner Monster Mind Creations. The first glimpse of Rama was recently released by the makers.
