India to get its first Cow Culture Museum in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh; know all about it

In a recent development and to boost tourism, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced plans to set up India’s first National Cow Culture Museum in Mathura. The project is aimed at celebrating the country’s cultural, spiritual and scientific connection to cows. As per media sources, the museum will be developed on the campus of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Veterinary Science University.

Focus on the scientific utility of cows and cattle products

As per reports, the museum will have over 100 digital and physical exhibits. These will showcase Indian cattle breeds including major indigenous and endangered varieties.

It will give visitors a view of India’s cattle beauty. A running exhibition on cow milk and dairy products is also under plan. Dairy parlours are expected to be part of the visitor experience.

As per planners, it will not be a museum, but an educational space also where people will be able to learn more about these innocent animals:

It will educate people on religious and spiritual traditions associated with cows in India.

Scientific perspectives on cattle breeds, genetics, dairy science and sustainability.

Here, people will get a chance to see over 100 digital and symbolic models of indigenous cattle breeds from all over the country. The displays would allow visitors a complete understanding of the country’s rich milk heritage. One of the prime attractions here will be an interactive exhibition on cow milk, curd, ghee, cheese and buttermilk, explaining their scientific and nutritional values.
