Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan: What’s new
The vehicle retains its original dimensions: 5 meters long and 2 meters wide with a 3-meter wheelbase, but introduces several aesthetic and functional changes. A new air intake grille design features an enlarged C-shaped surround and wider brake-cooling ducts. For the first time, the vehicle’s 4D millimeter-wave radar is integrated directly into the grille.
Along with new colour options, three new wheel designs have been added, highlighted by 21-inch forged rims. Additionally, an electric front trunk with a 105-liter capacity is now standard across all models, supporting eight opening methods including voice and proximity control.
Not just exterior, Xiaomi has also overhauled interior. The cabin has been fully redesigned with soft-touch finishes on nearly 100% of high-frequency contact surfaces. Key interior updates include:
Seating: Front seats now include ventilation and heating as standard.
The driver’s seat offers 18-way power adjustment, while the passenger side features an optional 123-degree “zero-gravity” recline mode.
Lighting: A 3,636 mm wraparound ambient lighting system encircles the cockpit with triple-layer direct and indirect lighting.
Quietness: Acoustic laminated glass is now standard on all four doors. The Max trim features an “Ultra-Quiet Cabin” package that uses high-density soundproofing to reduce noise by more than 4dB.
Amenities: An upgraded drawer-style refrigerator with an independent compressor offers faster cooling and three operating modes.
Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan: Performance and range
The entire SU7 lineup is now equipped with the Xiaomi HyperEngine V6s Plus motor, which is capable of 22,000 rpm, Xiaomi said, adding that the flagship Max trim achieves 0–100 km/h in 3.08 seconds with a top speed of 265 km/h. Battery performance has also seen an increase:
Standard: 720 km range (CLTC)
Pro: 902 km range (CLTC)
Max: 835 km range (CLTC)
The vehicles support ultra-fast charging, capable of adding 670 km of range in 15 minutes, with a peak charging rate of 5.2C.
The new Smart Chassis 2.0 utilises a double-wishbone front and five-link independent rear suspension. It features a closed dual-chamber air spring system and continuous damper control (CDC) that automatically adjusts to road conditions.
On the technology front, Xiaomi introduced a “Four-in-One Domain Control Module” powered by two 4nm chips: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for cabin functions and the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor for driving assistance.
