Vivo is gearing up to unveil its next smartphone, the Vivo X300s, soon in China. The device is expected to be released alongside the Vivo X300 Ultra, which was teased at MWC Barcelona. The Vivo X300s is the successor of the X200s, which carried a 6,200 mAh battery. The X300s is coming with a 7,100 mAh battery — a notable leap from its predecessor. It is said to be the largest battery in Vivo’s X series so far.
Vivo X300s specs and features
Vivo’s Product Manager Han Boxiao took to Weibo to confirm that the X300s will be a larger and more refined iteration of the standard X300. On the display front, the handset will sport a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, powered by BOE Q10+ screen technology. It will support a 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and Circular Polarisation Light 2.0 technology, which the company claims offers enhanced eye protection.
The smartphone will come with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a custom vibration motor, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 support.
In terms of photography, the Vivo X300s will carry a 200-megapixel primary rear sensor, according to the executive. Previously, leaks suggested that the Vivo X300s may have a triple camera module with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
Recent leaks indicate the Vivo X300s is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC and carry an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
On the audio front, the Vivo X300s will feature dual symmetric 1115 speakers, alongside a Super-sense Gaming Audio Zone feature that the company claims can enhance in-game audio detail by up to 120 percent.
Of course, the X300 Ultra is the next big showstopper from the brand. It is headlined by a newly developed Zeiss teleconverter system. The key attachment, dubbed the “Big Gun 400,” delivers a 400mm focal length with a pure optical 200-megapixel output at around 17.4x zoom, extendable to an equivalent 1,600mm with digital zoom — a range typically associated with professional wildlife and sports photography rigs.
Vivo has also introduced a more compact accessory called the “Lipstick 200,” weighing just 153 grams with a CIPA 6.5 stabilisation rating and support for 14 shooting modes. Together, the Zeiss lineup covers focal lengths from 14mm to 400mm, spanning nearly all major ranges used in professional photography.
