Vivo T5x launch in India on March 17: MediaTek processor, 7,200mAh battery and other features to expect

Vivo is set to expand its T-series smartphone range in India soon. The company will unveil Vivo T5x in the country on March 17 at 12pm. The handset will succeed last year’s Vivo T4x and is said to come powered by a MediaTek processor. Ahead of the launch, Vivo has confirmed that the upcoming Vivo T5x will be available in two colour variants – Star Silver and Cyber Green. The smartphone will be available via Flipkart along with offline retail stores across the country. The e-commerce giant has created a microsite of the Vivo T5x, giving a peek into its features and specs. Here’s what to expect

Vivo T5x features (expected)

Teased to be the “segment’s fastest smartphone”, Vivo T5x is rumoured to come powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset.

According to Vivo, the T5x 5G will come with a 7,200mAh battery, which the company claims will be the largest in the segment. The battery is reportedly designed to support long hours of streaming, gaming and browsing without frequent charging. Reports suggest the phone may support 44W fast charging.

For durability, the Vivo T5x 5G will offer IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Vivo has compared the phone’s battery and durability with devices in the sub-Rs 23,000 segment, indicating the expected price range.

A teaser from the company also mentions that the device will be the “fastest phone under Rs 23,000 as of March 5, 2026. ”

The handset is confirmed to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor. Vivo earlier said the phone has achieved an AnTuTu score of more than 1 million points. It will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

More details about the smartphone, including full specifications and pricing, are expected to be revealed at the launch event on March 17.
