Vivo T5x 5G launched in India with massive 7,200mAh battery, price starts at Rs 18,999

Vivo T5x 5G has been launched in India today as the successor to the Vivo T4x. The new model packs a massive 7,200mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the 6,500mAh unit on its predecessor. It also brings a significant improvement in the front camera, jumping from 8-megapixel to 32-megapixel.

The smartphone is offered in three storage configurations and two colour options, and it will go on sale starting March 24 via Flipkart.

Vivo T5x 5G specs and features

The Vivo T5x 5G comes with a 6.76-inch full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1,200nits of peak brightness. It carries a TV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification for low blue light emissions.

Under the hood, the Vivo T5x 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, which the company claims to deliver an AnTuTu score of over one million. It supports up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device runs on OriginOS 6 and is promised to receive two years of OS updates along with four years of security updates.

In terms of optics, the smartphone features a 50-megapixel Sony AI-powered main camera paired with a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor, while the front houses a 32-megapixel camera. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording, along with features like EIS, dual-view video, and AI-powered editing tools.

On the battery front, the Vivo T5x 5G is equipped with a 7,200mAh battery paired with 44W FlashCharge support. The company claims the device can reach 50 per cent charge in just 43 minutes. Despite a large battery, it weighs 219 grams.

It also supports reverse charging, allowing the smartphone to function as a power bank. Additionally, Vivo promises up to six years of battery health support.

The Vivo T5x 5G carries IP68 and IP69+ ratings for water and dust resistance. The device comes with dual stereo speakers offering up to 400 percent volume amplification and several gaming enhancements, including Monster Mode, HyperSense Audio, and 4D vibration.

Vivo T5x 5G price, colours and availability

The Vivo T5x 5G starts at Rs 18,999 for the base 6GB of RAM and 128GB model, while the mid-tier 8GB RAM and 128GB and 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage configurations are priced at Rs 20,999 and Rs 22,999, respectively. The smartphone goes on sale from March 24 via Flipkart, the Vivo India online store, and authorised retail outlets.

As part of the launch offers, buyers can get an instant discount of up to Rs 2,000 on transactions made using HDFC, Axis, SBI bank cards, and UPI. Additionally, the company is providing up to six months of no-cost EMI options. Customers can also avail complimentary access to 10 OTT platforms for six months with the Rs 1,199 prepaid plan from Reliance Jio. The handset comes in two colour options: Cyber Green and Star Silver.
