Tecno has launched the Spark 50 5G in India, expanding its Spark series lineup. The smartphone succeeds the Spark 40 4G, which debuted last year. The new smartphone is powered by the Dimensity 6400 chipset and runs on Android 16-based HiOS 16. The device will be available in four colour options and is set to go on sale from April 3 via Amazon.

The Tecno Spark 50 5G features a 6.78-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 560 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The company also offers expandable storage of up to 2TB via a microSD card. It runs on Android 16-based HiOS 16.
For photography, the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel rear camera accompanied by an LED flash, while the front houses an 8-megapixel punch-hole sensor for selfies and video calls.
The Tecno Spark 50 5G packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. For security, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Design-wise, the Tecno Spark 50 5G features a vertically aligned pill-shaped camera module on the back housing two cameras. It also adopts a flat-frame design, with the power and volume buttons positioned on the right side of the handset.
The Tecno Spark 50 5G includes UPS 3.0 technology, which boosts signal strength to enable faster digital payments like UPI. The device also supports 44 MIMO, and it introduces a unique offline communication feature that the company claimed allows users to connect with compatible devices up to 1.5 kilometres away without relying on mobile networks or Wi-Fi.
Tecno Spark 50 5G price, availability and colours
The TECNO Spark 50 5G is priced at Rs. 16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage model is available at Rs. 18,999. The smartphone will go on sale starting April 3 at 12 noon through Amazon and offline retail stores across India in four colour options: Fantasy Purple, Mint Green, Ink Black, and Champagne Gold.
