Redmi is set to launch the Redmi Note 15 SE in India on April 2. The smartphone will succeed the Redmi Note 14 SE. The company has been teasing the device for some time and has now revealed more key details about the smartphone. The handset is confirmed to pack a 5,800mAh battery and will be available in three colour options. It will be sold via Flipkart.
Redmi Note 15 SE design, specs and features
Redmi has updated a microsite on Flipkart to reveal that the Note 15 SE will be a slim device of 7.35 mm. It features a leather-like textured back panel in a rich red finish. At the rear, the phone sports an oval-shaped camera module at the middle with a gold accent, housing four camera sensors.
The smartphone will feature a 5,800mAh battery, with the company claiming over 44 hours of usage on a single charge. It will support 45W fast charging. The company promises up to five years of battery life. For comparison, the Redmi Note 15 5G comes with a 5,520mAh battery, making the new device a noticeable upgrade over its predecessor.
The smartphone will be available in three colours: Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red), and Frosted White and will go on sale via Flipkart in India.
The Redmi Note 15 SE is expected to come with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness. For photography, it may feature a 108-megapixel primary rear camera paired with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, along with a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies. Additionally, it could come with IP65 and IP66 ratings, offering resistance against dust and water.
Its predecessor, the Redmi Note 14 SE was initially launched at Rs 14,999, making it one of the most affordable models in the brand’s Note series. Interestingly, things have changed since then; now the same device is listed at Rs 19,999 on the company’s official website. This hike of Rs 5,000 may be due to rising memory costs all around the globe. Given this trend, we can expect the upcoming Redmi Note 15 SE to carry a slightly higher price tag.
