Redmi has launched Redmi 15A, expanding its Redmi 15 series in India. The smartphone features a 32-megapixel rear camera and is backed by a 6,300mAh battery. Positioned as a budget offering, it starts at Rs 12,999. The device will be available in three colour options and will be sold via Flipkart.
Redmi 15A specs and feature
The Redmi 15A features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 60Hz to 90Hz and 120Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits peak brightness. The smartphone also offers up to 240Hz touch sampling rate.
On the processor front, the handset runs on an octa-core T8300 5G SoC paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. It has up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 UFS 2.2 storage.
In terms of photography, the Redmi 15A carries a dual rear camera unit, which includes a 32-megapixel primary camera paired with an LED flash. On the front, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel camera housed under a water drop notch.
The Redmi 15A is fueled by a 6,300 mAh battery with 15W wired charging and 7.5W wired reverse charging support. The company claims the device can last up to two days on a single charge. The mobile weighs 210 grams.
The Redmi 15A supports dual-SIM functionality and runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 interface. The company promises the device will receive up to four Android version upgrades along with six years of security updates. It also includes AI-powered features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi’s Interconnectivity tools. For durability, the phone comes with an IP52 rating for resistance against dust and minor water exposure.
Redmi 15A price, availability and colours
The Redmi 15A is priced starting at Rs. 12,999 in India for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The mid-tier options include a 4GB/128GB model priced at Rs. 14,499 and a higher-end variant of 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage available at Rs. 16,499. The smartphone comes in three colour options: Ace Black, Awesome Blue, and Amaze Purple.
It will go on sale from April 3 through Flipkart, Mi.com, and authorised Xiaomi retail stores across the country.
