Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi 15 series in India with the launch of Redmi 15A 5G. Xiaomi says that the handset is “designed around one simple idea, to keep up with how people actually use their phones every day”. Redmi 15A 5G is powered by a 6,300mAh battery and boast of up to two-day battery life on a single charge. The handset is equipped with an octa-core 5G processor and features a dual camera setup on the back. Here’s everything you need to know about Redmi 15A 5G

Redmi 15A 5G price and availability

Redmi 15A 5G comes with a starting price of Rs 12,999 for the base model packing 4GB RAM and 64GB variant. Other models come with 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, priced at Rs 14,499 and Rs 16,499, respectively.

Redmi 15A 5G comes with a large 6.9-inch display with support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen comes with up to 800 nits brightness and offers Wet Touch Technology 2.0 that ensures the display responds accurately even with damp hands. For extended usage, the display comes with triple TÜV Rheinland certifications, low blue light, flicker-free, and circadian-friendly, helping reduce eye strain.

The display is claimed to offer smoother and more responsive interactions, whether a user is scrolling through feeds or switching between apps.

The handset is backed by a 6,300mAh battery that can last up to two days on a single charge. The device supports 15W charging, along with 7.5W wired reverse charging, adding a layer of everyday convenience.

At its core, the Redmi 15A 5G is powered by an octa-core 5G processor that is claimed to deliver a smooth balance of performance and efficiency. “Whether it’s switching between apps, attending video calls, or streaming content, the device handles everyday tasks with ease,” the company says.

Connectivity support included dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and navigation systems. The handset is said to deliver louder and clearer sound with up to 200% volume boost. On the camera front, the Redmi 15A 5G has a 32MP AI Dual rear camera system. Paired with it is an 8MP front camera to capture everyday moments with ease, from quick photos to video calls and social media content.

Redmi 15A 5G runs on HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16 and comes with 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates. Other features include an IP52 rating for durability, a fingerprint scanner for quick access, dual SIM support, and expandable storage up to 2TB further enhance its usability for everyday needs.
