Oppo takes swing at Samsung with crease-free Find N6, expected to launch soon in India

The foldable smartphone space is entering a new phase where brands are no longer just chasing slimmer designs or bigger batteries, but trying to solve one of the biggest long-standing issues — the display crease. Now, Oppo is stepping into the spotlight with its newly announced Find N6, a device that aims to challenge rivals like Samsung by making the crease almost disappear in real-world use.

While foldables have improved steadily over the years, the visible and tactile crease has remained a weak point. Oppo’s latest attempt suggests that the company is now confident enough to take that issue head-on, and possibly set a new benchmark in the category.

Oppo focuses on “zero-feel” crease with new Find N6 phone

The Find N6 may not look dramatically different from its predecessor, but the changes inside are where things get interesting. Oppo is pushing what it calls a “triple-zero” approach, with the most important part being the “Zero-Feel Crease.”

The company says the crease still exists physically, but it has been minimised to a point where users won’t notice it while using the phone. This has been achieved through a redesigned hinge system and improvements beneath the display. Oppo’s second-generation Titanium Flexion Hinge plays a key role here, using an advanced manufacturing process that identifies even microscopic unevenness and corrects it layer by layer.

Complementing this is a special glass layer that helps the display stay flat over time. The company claims the phone can endure up to 600,000 folds while maintaining its structure, which should address concerns around durability, something that often affects foldable displays over extended use.

Oppo Find N6 launched: Specs

Even with its focus on design and durability, Oppo hasn’t cut corners on performance. The Find N6 is powered by Qualcomm’s top notch Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and comes with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The device also packs a large 6,000mAh battery, which is bigger than what most foldables offer right now. Fast charging support includes 80W wired and 50W wireless.

Camera performance has also been upgraded this time. The Find N6 features a 200-megapixel primary sensor, along with 50-megapixel ultra-wide and telephoto (3x) lenses. Oppo has also added a true colour sensor to improve colour accuracy, especially in photos tuned with Hasselblad.

Despite all this hardware, the phone remains slim at just 8.93mm when folded and around 4.21mm when unfolded. It also keeps a practical form factor with a 6.62-inch outer display and a large 8.12-inch inner screen, along with stylus support for productivity tasks.

Oppo Find N6: India launch expected, but not confirmed

Oppo has confirmed that the Find N6 will be available globally starting March 20, with pre-orders already live in select markets. However, the company has not shared a full list of regions yet.

For India, the situation is still unclear. Oppo has not officially launched its Find N-series foldables in the country so far. However, there are signs that things could change this year. With Oppo actively selling premium devices like the Find X series in India, and no new foldable coming from OnePlus after its first-generation model, the Find N6 could fill that gap.

At the same time, since there is no official confirmation, buyers should treat this as a possibility rather than a certainty.

Meanwhile, competition is not standing still. Samsung has already showcased a new crease-reduction technology at CES 2026, hinting that future devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 could also see major improvements in display quality.

At the moment, though, Oppo seems to have made a strong move by tackling one of the biggest pain points in foldables. If the Find N6 performs as claimed in real-world usage — and makes it to India — it could win the premium foldable market in a big way.

Oppo Find N6: Prices

As for pricing, the Oppo Find N6 sits firmly in the premium segment. The base 12GB + 256GB variant starts at 9,999 (roughly Rs 1.26 lakh in India and £1,060 in Europe), while higher-end versions go up to 11,999 (nearly Rs 1.38 lakh) depending on storage. This puts it directly in competition with top-tier foldables from Samsung and others, suggesting Oppo is positioning the Find N6 as a no-compromise flagship rather than a niche alternative.
