Oppo F33 and Oppo F33 Pro tipped to launch in April; Check expected specs and price

Oppo F33 series India launch date: Chinese smartphone brand Oppo is expected to launch new rugged F-series smartphones in India soon. The Oppo F33 series includes the Oppo F33 and Oppo F33 Pro. Both devices are likely to succeed the Oppo F31 and Oppo F31 Pro, which were launched in September last year.

The F31 series came with MediaTek Dimensity processors, 6.5-inch displays, a massive 7,000mAh battery, and a 50MP dual rear camera setup. While Oppo has not officially confirmed the launch, leaks and reports about the launch timeline and pricing have started to appear online.

Oppo F33 series specifications (expected)

The upcoming mid-range smartphones are expected to bring better battery life and improved durability compared to the previous Oppo F31 series. While official specifications are still under wraps, rumours suggest that the standard Oppo F33 may retain key strengths like battery and durability, while the Oppo F33 Pro could offer upgrades such as more RAM, a faster processor, and improved cameras.

For context, the F31 lineup packed a massive 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It also featured strong durability with IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Both Oppo F31 and Oppo F31 Pro come with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate. They include a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP portrait lens. For selfies, the standard model offers a 16MP front camera, while the Pro version features a higher-resolution 32MP shooter.

In terms of performance, the Oppo F31 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy, while the Oppo F31 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. The lineup was launched in India along with the Oppo F31 Pro+.

Oppo F33 series India launch time and price (expected)

The Oppo F33 series could launch in India in the third week of April. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 35,000. For comparison, the Oppo F31 5G was launched at Rs. 22,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the Oppo F31 Pro started at Rs. 26,999 for the same configuration. In this price segment, the new lineup is likely to compete with devices like the Motorola Edge 70, Redmi Note 15 Pro, and Nothing Phone (4a).
