March saw the launch of several budget smartphones in India, including devices from brands like Lava, Redmi, Tecno, iQOO, Realme, Narzo and Poco. In addition to budget devices, Poco introduced its mid-range X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max models, while Samsung launched its premium Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 in the country. Xiaomi also brought its flagship Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra to India, along with Apple’s iPhone 17e.
Now, April is expected to bring another round of launches, with several major smartphone manufacturers preparing to debut new devices in the country. Tech enthusiasts will see launches from brands including OnePlus, Realme, Vivo and Redmi.
Here are the smartphones that are confirmed to launch in India in April.
Realme 16 launching on April 2
Realme will debut the Realme 16 on April 2 at 12 PM.
The Realme 16 5G will feature a 6.57-inch display and a slim 8.1mm profile, weighing 183 grams. It will pack a 7,000mAh battery, similar to its predecessor, the Realme 15. The device will support 60W fast charging, and the company claims up to six years of battery health. The global variant of the smartphone is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset.
Vivo V70 FE to debut on April 2
Vivo will also launch the Vivo V70 FE on April 2.
The smartphone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,900 nits peak brightness. For photography, the device is expected to include a 200-megapixel main camera paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, the V70 FE carries a 50-megapixel punch-hole camera for selfies.
In terms of battery, the smartphone is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging.
Redmi Note 15 SE expected on April 2
Redmi is also expected to join the April 2 launch lineup with the Redmi Note 15 SE.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. In terms of optics, the device may sport a 108-megapixel primary rear camera paired with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, along with a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies.
The smartphone is also likely to pack a 5,520mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
OnePlus Nord 6 launching on April 7
OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus Nord 6 in India on April 7 at 7 PM IST.
The company says the smartphone will feature a 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery paired with 80W SUPERVOOC charging. According to OnePlus, the battery can deliver more than two days of usage on a single charge.
The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm process. It is expected to come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone will also feature a G2 Wi-Fi chip and support advanced 5G connectivity.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra to arrive on April 21
Oppo has confirmed that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra will launch globally on April 21, though the company has not announced anything about its India launch yet. While Oppo hasn’t revealed the specifications of the device so far, leaks suggest that the smartphone could feature a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and a battery larger than 7,000mAh.
