OnePlus 15T launching on March 24 with compact design and 7,500mAh battery, details here

The OnePlus 15T has been making waves for quite some time now, and the wait is finally coming to an end. The company has officially revealed its launch date, confirming the device will debut in China on March 24, with pre-orders already open for the Chinese market. Reports suggest the smartphone could arrive in India under the name OnePlus 15s. Ahead of the official launch, OnePlus has also given fans an early look at some of the key specs and features of the upcoming device.

One Plus 15T specs and features

A few days back, OnePlus China President Li Jie took to the Chinese social media platform Weibo to confirm that the OnePlus 15T will deliver a flagship-grade experience in a compact form factor. It will come with a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The device will sport rounded corners and slim 1.1mm bezels, giving a refined look. Adding to its premium credentials, the OnePlus 15T will also feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15T will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. On the battery front, the upcoming flagship will be packed with a 7,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The OnePlus 15T will also support magnetic wireless accessories that attach to its back — similar to what was introduced with the OnePlus 15.

In terms of optics, the OnePlus 15T will feature a periscope telephoto camera lens at the back. The company confirmed that 15T’s upgraded hardware would enable capturing better portrait and zoom shots. Leaks suggest it will have a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor, which uses the Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor.

The smartphone will come in a bunch of dust and water certifications, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.

The OnePlus 15T will have five configurations: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB variants. It will be available in China via Oppo’s official online store in three colour ways: Healing White Chocolate, Pure Cocoa, and Relaxing Matcha.
