Nvidia can’t get enough of OpenClaw, CEO Jensen announces their own spinoff NemoClaw

Silicon Valley is currently buzzing with AI agents, and one of the platforms getting the most attention is OpenClaw, formerly known as Clawdbot or Moltbot. Riding the growing momentum around OpenClaw, chipmaker Nvidia has announced plans to double down on autonomous AI systems, unveiling a new spin-off stack called NemoClaw at the company’s GTC 2026 conference in San Jose. This new platform is built on the OpenClaw ecosystem and is aimed at making AI agents safer and easier to use particularly for enterprise use cases.

According to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, agentic AI systems like OpenClaw mark a turning point for artificial intelligence. “OpenClaw opened the next frontier of AI to everyone and became the fastest-growing open-source project in history,” Huang said in the official announcement. Huang added that agentic systems will change how software works, moving from tools that people operate to systems that can act on their own.

OpenClaw is an open-source platform that allows users to build personal AI agents, often referred to as “claws”. These agents can perform tasks, use software, and make decisions with minimal human input. However, such agentic AI systems also come with risks. As more businesses begin experimenting with autonomous AI, security and control have become major concerns. To address these issues, Nvidia has introduced NemoClaw. It’s being billed as a new software stack designed to add safeguards and allow organisations to run AI agents without putting sensitive data or internal systems at risk.

According to the company, the stack includes features such as network guardrails and a privacy router, designed to prevent AI agents from executing unsafe actions inside company environments. Nvidia says these protections are essential if autonomous agents are to be used safely within enterprises.

What is NemoClaw

At its core, NemoClaw is built to let companies use AI agents safely without giving them full access to their systems. Nvidia says the platform runs these agents in a controlled environment and applies rules to what they are allowed to do. This will help organisations use autonomous assistants like OpenClaw while keeping their data secure and maintain privacy.

Nvidia has developed NemoClaw together with OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger as part of a wider effort to build an ecosystem around open-source AI agents. The company says the platform can work with both local and cloud-based AI models, making it easier for developers to create assistants that can run continuously across different devices and services.

“With Nvidia and the broader ecosystem, we’re building the claws and guardrails that let anyone create powerful, secure AI assistants,” said Peter Steinberger, creator of OpenClaw.
