Apple Launches Issey Miyake iPhone Pocket Bag From $149.95

Key Takeaways

  • Apple partners with Issey Miyake for limited-edition iPhone Pocket
  • Priced from $149.95 to $229.95, launches November 14
  • Available in multiple colors with short and long strap options
  • Not confirmed for India release

Apple has unveiled a unique accessory for iPhone users – a pocket-sized bag developed in collaboration with legendary Japanese designer Issey Miyake. The iPhone Pocket offers a new way to carry your device and essentials, blending fashion with functionality.

Design and Collaboration

The iPhone Pocket draws inspiration from “a piece of cloth” and reinterprets the everyday pocket through Issey Miyake’s iconic pleated fashion aesthetic. This limited-edition accessory was created through close collaboration between Apple Design Studio and Miyake Design Studio.

Featuring a 3D-knit construction with ribbed open structure, the bag comes in two variants:

  • Short strap design ($149.95) – Can be carried on wrist or attached to bags
  • Long strap design ($229.95) – Allows cross-body wear

Color Options and Capacity

The short strap version comes in vibrant colors including lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon, and black. The long strap design offers more subdued options in sapphire, cinnamon, and black.

Despite its compact size, Apple claims the iPhone Pocket can store more than just your iPhone, including AirPods and other small everyday items.

Availability and Release

The iPhone Pocket launches on November 14 through selected Apple retail stores and online in the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Greater China.

This marks Apple’s second accessory venture this year following the crossbody strap launch, indicating the company’s focus on providing more carrying flexibility for users.

India Availability Uncertain

Apple has not confirmed plans to launch the iPhone Pocket in India. Given the limited release strategy, the accessory is unlikely to reach Indian markets in the near future.

As a limited-time product, interested buyers in available markets may need to act quickly before stocks run out.
