Apple has launched Apple Business, a new unified platform that brings together the company’s existing business tools. In a press release, the Cupertino giant stated that Apple Business will allow companies to effortlessly manage devices and use various tools across its ecosystem.
Apple Business brings existing business tools, such as Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple Business Connect under a single roof.
What is Apple Business?
Apple Business is an all-in-one platform that allows companies to manage devices, users, apps, communication tools, and customer-facing services, in a single interface rather than having separate dashboards.
The platform comes with built-in mobile device management (MDM). Businesses can use MDM to configure device settings, security, apps, and user groups from one place.
The new Blueprints feature allows administrators to preconfigure devices with apps and settings so employees can start using Apple devices immediately after unboxing.
Apple Business features
Apple Business introduces Managed Apple Accounts. This keeps company data secure while protecting employee privacy through “cryptographic separation” of work and personal data.
The platform also has automated account creation via identity providers like Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID. That is, a Managed Apple Account for a new employee can be created by their Google Workspace details.
IT administrators can also create user groups, assign roles, distribute apps through the App Store, and access an Admin API for large-scale management.
The platform also integrates email, calendar, and directory services. Businesses can either bring an existing domain or purchase one through the platform. This also includes features such as calendar delegation and company directories with personalised contact cards.
Apple is bringing ads to Apple Maps
As part of Apple Business, businesses in the US and Canada will be able to create ads on Apple Maps soon. These ads will appear at the top of search results and within a new suggested places feature. The feature is aimed at helping businesses get more reach.
Apple states that all advertising tools maintain user privacy, with no personal data linked to Apple IDs or shared with third parties.
Additionally, Apple Business offers tools to manage brand profiles and location information across Apple Maps, Wallet, Mail, and other services. You can also use place cards. Place cards can be customised with photos, hours, and actions like ordering or reservations.
Apple Business price and availability
According to the company, Apple Business will be available from April 14 in more than 200 countries and regions as a free service for new and existing users of Apple’s prior business platforms. The separate business platforms – Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple Business Connect – will be discontinued. Businesses will have their existing data migrated to Apple Business.
However, businesses can purchase additional iCloud storage, starting at $0.99 (roughly Rs. 93) per user per month. AppleCare Plus for Business is priced at $6.99 (roughly Rs 6500 per user per month for one device.
The Apple Business companion app and new communication features require devices running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26.
