Preparations are in final stages in Mussoorie for the wedding of Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav, who is set to marry his fiancee, Vanshika, on March 14. According to the PTI news agency, the historic Savoy Hotel has been fully booked for three days to host the ceremony, which will see a gathering of cricketing legends and high-profile VIPs.
The guest list for the private ceremony includes the biggest names in Indian cricket. Teammates Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah are expected to arrive in Mussoorie for the nuptials.
Hotel management confirmed that roughly 80 rooms have been reserved at The Savoy, with additional accommodations booked at nearby luxury properties to house the large contingent of VIPs, family, and security personnel.
The union marks the culmination of a lifelong relationship. Kuldeep and Vanshika are childhood friends from Kanpur, where their families lived just three kilometers apart. Kuldeep hails from the Lal Bungalow area, while Vanshika resides in Shyam Nagar. Vanshika, who works as an administrative professional with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and pursued higher studies in Melbourne, has been a constant presence in the spinner’s life since his U-19 days.
The couple officially got engaged on June 4, 2025, in a traditional ceremony in Lucknow. While originally planned for November 2025, the wedding was postponed due to Kuldeep’s commitments for India’s successful T20 World Cup 2026 campaign.
The wedding follows one of the most successful phases of Kuldeep’s professional career. The 31-year-old left-arm wrist-spinner was a key member of the Indian squad that recently defended their T20 World Cup title, defeating New Zealand in the final in Ahmedabad. Though India’s tactical rotation limited him to specific matches, Kuldeep’s impact was undeniable, notably in the group-stage clash against Pakistan, where he returned stifling figures of 1/14 in three overs.
With over 365 international wickets across formats, Kuldeep is currently ranked among the world’s elite spinners.
Following the private mountain wedding, the couple will host a grand reception at Hotel Centrum in Lucknow on March 17, where Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to attend.
