Levitt begins the over strongly, smashing a full slower ball through extra cover for four. But Hardik changes it up, digs one short outside off, and Levitt pulls it well, only for Washington Sundar to leap brilliantly at deep mid-wicket and take a sharp catch right on the edge of the boundary.

Arshdeep Singh starts with drama, a loud LBW appeal first ball, but it’s sliding down leg and India don’t review. He is getting sharp inswing straight away.

Michael Levitt responds with confidence, driving a full inswinger beautifully past mid-off for four. But Arshdeep adjusts quickly, mixes lengths, angles it into the wicket, and even fires a sharp bouncer that forces Levitt to sway out of the way.

The final over brings fireworks, and wickets.

There’s even a moment where Hardik toe-ends a low full toss and checks his bat for cracks, that’s how hard he is swinging. He finishes the over with a couple to long-on.

Bas de Leede keeps it clever, pace off, wide lines, forcing Hardik Pandya to fetch from outside off. Hardik swings hard but isn’t finding the middle. Inside edges, toe-ends, and straight to the infield , three balls, just a single.

At the other end, Shivam Dube looks far more assured.

De Leede digs it in short with pace off, but Dube reads it early, waits, and rolls his wrists beautifully. The pull races behind square for four, splitting the deep fielders. That’s growth, the short ball was once a concern, but he has clearly worked on it.

Shivam Dube is in absolute control now.

Hardik Pandya joins the party soon after. Van der Merwe again misses the blockhole, and Hardik clears his front leg and smashes a flat six over mid-wicket. Clean strike, powerful statement.

There are a couple of well-placed singles in between, Netherlands smartly keeping long-on and long-off very straight to cut off the big hits down the ground.

After opting to bat, India are in a rebuilding phase with five overs to go.

Hardik Pandya is settling in at 5 off 6, yet to find the boundary but looking composed. Shivam Dube, on 26 off 19, has shown intent with a couple of big hits and is key to the final push.

The pitch has played slightly slow so far, making timing tricky. But with dew expected later, India know anything close to 185–190 could be very competitive.

Kyle Klein makes a timely impact.

After a quiet start to the over, Suryakumar Yadav punches one for two, nearly benefiting from a mix-up in the deep. But Klein gets his reward soon after.

A ball on the pads, usually SKY’s scoring zone, is whipped flat towards long leg. It just carries to substitute Timm van der Gugten, who judges it perfectly. SKY stands stunned. The earlier drop doesn’t cost Netherlands much in the end.

Bas de Leede keeps varying pace from round the wicket, even starting the over with a couple of wides. India continue to collect singles — Dube working it into the leg side, Suryakumar punching to long-on and flicking to deep mid-wicket.

And then Suryakumar Yadav explodes.

Full and angling into middle, he gets inside the line and unleashes those wrists, whipping it high over long leg for six. As mentioned on air, it’s his first boundary in 19 balls. He has been waiting for that release shot.

There’s a scare for Shivam Dube, a slower short ball, half-hearted pull, and it top-edges into no man’s land. Edwards charges in and dives, but it just falls short. A risky single follows, but they get away with it.

Apart from that, Klein keeps it disciplined, back of a length, angling into the pads, forcing singles to the deep.

India are steady but not breaking free.

It starts with a life for Suryakumar Yadav, a top-edge on the pull goes miles up, and Levitt puts down an absolute sitter at deep square leg. A huge let-off. Netherlands will remember that Pakistan game where a drop hurt them, they can’t afford a repeat. SKY immediately capitalises, backing away and slashing one intentionally over the slip cordon for four. Positive intent. But the Dutch hit back and how!

He starts with a slower one and even with a slight fumble in the infield, it’s just a single. From there, it’s all about change of pace, off-cutters, slower balls into the pitch, and tight lines.

Suryakumar tries to get inventive with a lap shot, but the ball sneaks under his bat. Smart bowling, reading the batter well.

Tilak waits on the off-pace deliveries and settles for singles, a checked drive to long-off, a pull behind square.

Colin Ackermann keeps it tight, but India are smartly working him around.

Suryakumar Yadav focuses on placement over power, easing one to long-on, whipping another to deep mid-wicket, and carving a shorter one behind square for a comfortable couple. He keeps trying to make room, but Ackermann follows him and keeps the stumps in play.

Kyle Klein into the attack and Suryakumar Yadav welcomes him with class. Full and wide, and SKY leans into a gorgeous drive through cover for four. Pure timing. The sweeper has no chance.

After that, Klein tightens up. Attacks the stumps, keeps it in the 131–132kph range, and doesn’t offer much room. Suryakumar is forced to push to mid-on, even closes the face early on one that rolls off a leading edge.

Tilak looks slightly rushed on the pull but manages to clear the infield for a single.

Aryan Dutt is dictating terms right now. He starts the over with Ishan Kishan pulling one for four, not off the middle, but well placed.

But Dutt responds immediately. Ishan is bowled in dramatic fashion. Both openers are now back in the dugout inside the powerplay.

Suryakumar Yadav arrives and gets off strike. Tilak Varma keeps the scoreboard ticking. When Dutt misses his line, Tilak leans forward and times a beautiful flick through mid-wicket for four, effortless, classy.

India are currently under pressure.

In the 5th over, Aryan Dutt returns and Ishan Kishan greets him with a cracking pull fraction short and dispatched wide of deep mid-wicket for four.

But Dutt has the last laugh. On the next ball, Ishan is bowled for 18 off just 7. The aggression continues, but this time the ball sneaks through and rattles the stumps.

Massive breakthrough again from Dutt. Every time India look ready to break free, he pulls them back.

Colin Ackermann into the attack and Ishan Kishan wastes no time. A juicy full toss and it disappears, launched high and handsome over deep extra cover for six. Clean strike, right off the middle. When Ishan gets those, they stay hit.

There’s a brief scare next ball, Tilak’s reverse sweep is toe-ended back at the bowler, Ishan halfway down the track. Ackermann has a shy at the non-striker’s end but misses. That could have been tight.

Tilak then finishes the over in style. Ackermann drifts one down leg and it’s easy pickings, helped away for four.

Aryan Dutt is back, and all eyes are on this mini battle.

He starts tight again, darting it into the blockhole, keeping it flat and stump-to-stump. Tilak struggles to manufacture room, even misses a sweep attempt as one drifts down leg.

But then, one rare error. Slightly fuller, right in the slot, and Tilak Varma doesn’t need a second invitation. He frees his arms and lofts it cleanly wide of mid-on for four. That’s the first real release shot against Dutt today.

The over ends with Ishan stepping out but finding no room.

Logan van Beek starts the over and Tilak Varma wastes no time, full in the slot and bang! lofted straight back over the bowler for a flat six. Clean strike, statement intent.

Van Beek tries to adjust, but there’s still a boundary on offer, Ishan Kishan flicks a leg-side loosener away for four to get going. The outfield is quick and India are suddenly shifting gears.

There’s a bit of streakiness in between, inside edges, mistimed charges down the track, but they keep the scoreboard ticking. Ishan even gets three while trying to go big down the ground.

Aryan Dutt strikes in the very first over and Abhishek Sharma is gone for a three-ball duck. Skiddy, quicker through the air, Abhishek misreads the length trying to pull and the stumps are shattered. Dutt is fired up, teammates swarm him. Huge breakthrough.

Tilak Varma walks in under pressure. Dutt keeps it flat and tight, even beats Tilak on a reverse attempt down leg. Looked set for a wicket-maiden, but a fumble in the field allows Tilak to sneak three and get India moving.
