PM Modi Says DMK Betrayed Tamil Nadu, Voters Seek Change

PM Modi Accuses DMK of Betraying Tamil Nadu Voters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on Tamil Nadu’s ruling DMK and its ally Congress during a rally in Tirunelveli, accusing them of betraying the state’s people and being “anti-development.” He asserted that voters are now seeking a change ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

Key Allegations Against DMK-Congress Alliance

Addressing a public meeting, PM Modi framed the opposition as consistently working against progress and the poor.

“The DMK and Congress have always been anti-development and anti-poor. They have always betrayed the people of Tamil Nadu. The people of Tamil Nadu are now looking for a change,” he said.

Central Schemes and Development Focus

The Prime Minister accused the DMK state government of failing to properly implement central welfare schemes, depriving citizens of their benefits.

“The DMK government has not implemented the central government’s schemes properly. They have not been able to provide the benefits of these schemes to the people of Tamil Nadu,” he said.

In contrast, he highlighted the BJP-led central government’s efforts, stating it has been working for Tamil Nadu’s development and providing financial assistance for state projects.

Election Appeal to Voters

Concluding his speech, PM Modi made a direct appeal for support in the upcoming general elections.

“I appeal to the people of Tamil Nadu to vote for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. We will work for the development of Tamil Nadu and the country,” he said.

The Tirunelveli rally is part of the Prime Minister’s campaign tour across the state.
