When we talk about event dressing, most celebrities opt for high-drama silhouettes, keeping things flashy and poised. But that’s not Deepika Padukone’s style. The diva knows how to make heads turn, even in a simple kurta, and somehow makes it look more powerful than a couture piece.
At her recent appearance alongside Ranveer Singh and his family, the actress quietly flipped the glam script, wearing a stylish piece that didn’t speak volumes but was all about subtle voltage. At the affair, she slipped into a stunning white ensemble, picked from the shelves of House of Masaba, and even wore designer juttis from Hazel Thread.

But her look didn’t come with sparkles and sequins this time. She wore an all-white kaftan-styled kurta over a matching plain white slip and teamed it with same-print straight-fit pants.
Crafted from luxurious Chanderi silk fabric, the relaxed silhouette and structure make it perfect for a day event.
The kaftan kurta featured delicate palm tree embroidery and a statement tropical leaf pattern done with white thread, which amplified the entire look in seconds. It also featured a popover placket, a shirt collar-style neckline, quarter-length batwing sleeves, side slits, drop shoulders, and a see-through overall design.
She accessorised it with minimal flower-shaped diamond earrings, which also had some precious gemstones, and opted for brown slip-on juttis, which featured intricate but delicate golden embroidery detailing.

For makeup, she tied her hair in a centre-parted twisted bun, used a dewy foundation base, mascara-adorned eyelashes, finely shaped dark eyebrows, bronzed lipstick, and a hint of rouge-tinted cheeks.
This subtle match looked perfect with her relaxed and simple day fit.
Clad in a chic and fuss-free kurta, she leaned into her signature aesthetics, playing with poised, polished, and self-assured notes. Ditching theatrical styling, she avoided chasing trends and reminded us that sometimes the greatest fashion flex comes with restraint, making it a bold choice in the room.
