UPSC 2025: Rekha Gupta felicitates 56 toppers, aims to improve policies

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday honoured 56 candidates who successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination, calling them a source of inspiration for aspiring students across the capital.

The event, titled ‘Delhi ke Gaurav: UPSC Achievers Felicitation Ceremony 2026’, was organised for the first time by the Delhi government in collaboration with the revenue department at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan.

FOCUS ON STRENGTHENING EDUCATION AND GUIDANCE

Addressing the gathering, Gupta highlighted the government’s commitment to improving access to quality education and mentorship for students preparing for competitive exams. She stressed that the administration is working towards building an ecosystem where aspirants are equipped with the right resources, structured guidance, and equal opportunities to succeed.

“Our aim is to see a growing number of IAS, IPS officers, doctors, and engineers emerging from Delhi every year,” she said, underlining the importance of a strong and inclusive education system.

UPSC SUCCESS AS A STEP TOWRDS NATION-BUILDING

Praising the achievers, the Chief Minister described their success as more than a personal milestone. She noted that their dedication, discipline, and perseverance represent a meaningful contribution to the country’s future.

According to Gupta, these successful candidates will go on to play a vital role in strengthening India’s administrative framework and ensuring that government schemes effectively reach every section of society, especially those at the grassroots level.

GOVERNMENT TO LEARN FROM ASPIRANTS’ EXPERIENCES

During the interaction, the Chief Minister engaged with the candidates to understand their preparation journeys, the challenges they faced, and the kind of support they found most helpful.

She emphasised that such firsthand insights would help shape better policies for future aspirants.

“The experiences and suggestions of young achievers serve as a valuable guide for us. We will incorporate their feedback to create better opportunities for the next generation,” she added.

Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Rajiv Verma and Divisional Commissioner Neeraj Semwal, were also present at the event.
