JEE Main 2026 paper 2 results to be declared today? Check latest updates from NTA

The wait for engineering aspirants may soon be over as the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 results are expected to be declared shortly. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already released the final answer key for Session 1 on February 23, signalling that the result announcement is imminent.

Candidates who appeared for the January 29 examination are advised to keep a close watch on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, for the direct result link.

With three questions dropped in the final answer key and Session 2 registrations currently underway, here’s everything you need to know about the latest JEE Main 2026 updates.

WHEN WILL JEE MAIN 2026 PAPER 2 RESULTS BE DECLARED?

The JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 result is expected to be announced shortly following the release of the final answer key on February 23. Although NTA has not confirmed an exact time, results are typically declared soon after the final key is published.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official portal to avoid missing important updates.

HOW CAN CANDIDATES CHECK THEIR JEE MAIN 2026 PAPER 2 RESULT?

Once released, candidates will be able to access their JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 results by visiting the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in and clicking on the designated “JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 Result” link. They will then need to log in using their Application Number and Password to view their scorecard.

After accessing the result, candidates are advised to download and save a copy for future reference. The results will be prepared strictly on the basis of the final answer key issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

WHAT CHANGES WERE MADE IN THE FINAL ANSWER KEY?

NTA has dropped three questions from the Paper 2 final answer key for Session 1. This decision follows the objection window that was opened between February 19 and February 20, during which candidates were allowed to challenge the provisional answer key.

Scores will be calculated accordingly, factoring in the dropped questions.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR JEE MAIN 2026 SESSION 2?

NTA has officially opened the registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. Interested candidates must complete their application process before February 25, 2026.
The Session 2 examination will be conducted:

  • From April 2 to April 9, 2026
  • In two shifts daily

Applicants are encouraged to complete their registrations early to avoid last-minute technical issues.

WHY IS JEE MAIN 2026 IMPORTANT FOR ENGINEERING ASPIRANTS?

JEE Main serves as the gateway for admissions into premier engineering institutions, including NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs).

Additionally, only the top 2.5 lakh qualified candidates in JEE Main 2026 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026, which determines admission into the prestigious IITs.

WHAT SHOULD CANDIDATES DO NOW?

With the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 results expected at any moment, candidates should:

  • Keep login credentials ready
  • Monitor the official website for the direct result link
  • Download and securely store their scorecards
  • Begin preparations for the next phase, if qualified

RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT, STAY ALERT

The release of the final answer key strongly suggests that the JEE Main 2026 Paper 2 result announcement is imminent. As aspirants await their scores, it is crucial to stay updated through official channels and prepare for the upcoming academic milestones.
