IGNOU extends registration deadline for B.Ed, BSc Nursing, and PGDRPC entrance exams

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for submitting online applications for its entrance exams. The extension applies to the B. Ed and BSc Nursing (Post Basic) programmes for the January 2026 session, and the Post Graduate Diploma in Rural and Plantation Management (PGDRPC) for the July 2026 session. Candidates can now submit their applications online until March 10, 2026, 6 pm.

The entrance tests for all three programmes are scheduled for March 29, 2026. IGNOU has urged applicants to complete their forms well in advance to avoid technical issues close to the deadline. More details are available on the official IGNOU website.

New deadline for applications

IGNOU’s Student Evaluation Division (Exam-II) announced the revised schedule on February 27, 2026. Candidates seeking admission into the B.Ed, BSc Nursing, and PGDRPC programmes must submit their applications online before March 10, 2026. This extension allows students extra time to gather documents, complete application forms, and pay the necessary fees.

Exam date and instructions

All entrance exams will be held on March 29, 2026. Applicants are advised to check the IGNOU official portal regularly for updates. It is recommended to avoid last-minute submissions to prevent technical problems.

IGNOU also provides guidelines for filling applications and uploading required documents, ensuring candidates meet eligibility criteria.

Ongoing admissions for other programmes

IGNOU has also started admissions for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the January 2026 session. Programs like BA, BBA, BCom, BCA, BSc, BSW, and postgraduate courses including MBA, MA, MCA, MCom, are open for registration. Admissions are available through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes. The last date for submitting these applications is February 28, 2026.

IGNOU offers flexible education options with over 2,000 learner support centres nationwide. Students can also access digital platforms for self-paced learning, including e-content and interactive tools, ensuring learning continuity across India.
