IAF Agniveervayu Registration Opens for 2027: Who Can Apply and How

The Indian Air Force has officially opened registrations for the Agniveervayu 2027 intake. The online application window runs from January 26 to February 9, 2026, with exams scheduled from March 28 to April 10, 2026.

This recruitment drive, part of the central , seeks candidates for the Agniveervayu role. The selection is a multi-stage process involving an online test, physical fitness tests, adaptability assessments, and a medical examination.

Service Tenure and Post-Service Benefits

Selected Agniveers will undergo 31 weeks of training before commencing a four-year service tenure. Upon completion, the top 25%—based on merit, willingness, and medical fitness—will be enrolled into the IAF’s regular cadre.

The remaining 75% will be demobilised with a financial package and career support:

• A ‘Seva Nidhi’ lump sum of approximately Rs 11.71 lakh (including individual and government contributions with interest).
• A skill certificate to aid in future employment.
• Assistance in finding civilian job opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria for Agniveervayu 2027

Candidates must meet strict age and educational requirements to be considered.

Age Limit: Applicants must have been born between January 2, 2004, and January 1, 2008 (inclusive).

Educational Qualification: One of the following is mandatory:

• Science Stream: Passed 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Mathematics, and English, securing at least 50% aggregate and 50% in English from a COBSE-member board.
• Non-Science Stream: Passed 10+2/Intermediate in any stream with 50% aggregate and 50% in English from a recognised board.
• Engineering Diploma: A 3-year diploma in specified engineering fields with 50% marks and 50% in English.
• Vocational Course: A 2-year vocational course with Physics and Maths, securing 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
