PAPER ANALYSIS IN BRIEF

The CBSE Class 12 Physics paper 2026 was widely perceived as calculationheavy and lengthy, with many students and educators noting a strong emphasis on numerical problems and multistep derivations rather than purely conceptual or straightforward questions.

According to teachers, the paper leaned heavily on mathematics within physics questions — making it particularly challenging for students not strong in mathematical manipulation.

Several educators observed that while some sections tested core concepts and derivations, the quantitative component dominated — requiring effective time management, speed, and precision to complete within the allotted three hours.

However, opinions varied: some experts described the paper as having a moderate to manageable difficulty level for students with consistent preparation and practice, highlighting conceptual as well as analytical parts across sections.

Students can check the full question paper here for detailed review and selfassessment.
