CBSE Class 12 Economics Question Paper 2026: Check full exam paper here

The CBSE board exams 2026 are currently underway for Classes 10 and 12 across the country. The CBSE Class 12 Economics examination was conducted as per schedule, with students appearing for a key paper in the Commerce stream.

As per initial feedback from teachers, the paper was moderate in difficulty and well-balanced, with a mix of theory, numericals and case-based questions. The question paper closely followed the CBSE sample paper pattern and NCERT syllabus, making it familiar and manageable for most students.

Both sections — Macroeconomics and Indian Economic Development — were covered comprehensively. Numerical questions, especially from national income and basic calculations, were largely straightforward and scoring. At the same time, case study-based questions played a major role and required careful reading, analytical thinking and application of concepts.

Teachers noted that the paper focused more on conceptual clarity rather than rote learning. MCQs and assertion-reason questions were mostly direct, though a few were slightly tricky due to changing terminology. Many questions were based on familiar topics such as government policies, sustainable development and income determination.

Overall, the paper was considered fair and student-friendly. Students with strong conceptual understanding and regular practice were able to attempt the exam confidently and complete it within the given time.
