The CBSE Class 10 Result 2026 is expected to be announced by April 15, according to current updates. If declared on time, this would be earlier than previous years.
Though the board has not yet officially confirmed the exact date and time of the announcement, the results are expected early largely due to a faster evaluation process and the upcoming second phase of board examinations scheduled for May 2026.
Around 25 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 board exams this year, making it one of the largest school-level examinations in the country.
Once released, students will be able to check their results online through official CBSE portals.
WHY RESULTS MAY COME EARLY THIS YEAR
- CBSE is expected to declare results sooner due to fast-tracked evaluation
- The board has to conduct second board exams in May 2026
- The two-exam system allows students to improve performance in up to three subjects
- Students in the compartment category will also appear in the second phase
The Class 10 exams concluded on March 11, while Class 12 exams ended on April 10. Both exams began on February 17 and were conducted across 8,074 centres.
PASSING MARKS AND GRACE POLICY
- Students need a minimum of 33 per cent marks to pass
- CBSE may award grace marks to students short by one or two marks
- This helps prevent unnecessary failure due to marginal gaps
