Bihar Universities Partner With NASSCOM to Upskill 1 Lakh Students

Bihar Engineering University (BEU) and the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) have signed a landmark agreement with NASSCOM to provide industry-aligned skill training to over one lakh students across the state.

Official Signing and Vision

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by BEU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Satish Kumar Singh, SBTE Chairman Sandeep Poundrik, and NASSCOM FutureSkills CEO Kirti Seth. State Education Department Principal Secretary K.K. Pathak was present at the ceremony.

Focus on Future-Ready Skills

Prof. Singh stated that the collaboration will provide training in cutting-edge domains including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Robotics, Augmented & Virtual Reality, 3D Printing, Drone Technology, and Cloud Computing.

He emphasised that the NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime platform will be the conduit for this training, helping students earn valuable certificates and connect directly with potential employers.

Building a Competitive Workforce

Sandeep Poundrik highlighted that the exposure to the latest industry trends and technologies is crucial. He noted the initiative will equip students with the specific skills required for the jobs of tomorrow.

Echoing the state’s commitment, Principal Secretary K.K. Pathak called the MoU a strategic step towards providing quality education. He affirmed it would arm students with the necessary skills to thrive in a competitive job market.

The partnership is set to impact a significant student population enrolled in BEU and SBTE-affiliated institutions throughout Bihar, marking a substantial move towards bridging the industry-academia skill gap.
