Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set for a historic opening at the global box office. According to the website, Sacnilk, the Aditya Dhar film has already grossed Rs 123 crore from the premiere and day one bookings (including blocked seats). With bookings for more shows yet to open, the numbers are expected to soar in the next two days, ahead of the film’s release in theatres.
While Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled for a wide release on March 19, previews or premiere shows have been scheduled for March 18 across the country. According to reports, the film recorded a gross of Rs 38.50 crore from these shows.
On Day 1 (March 19), the film has already registered a domestic collection of Rs 24.50 crore across 13,000 shows in India. The pre-sales in the international circuits now stand at approximately Rs 60 crore, taking the pre-sales figure to Rs 123 crore globally.
Going by the initial numbers, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is set for a historic opening at the box office on March 18 (premiere) and March 19 (global release). More theatres across the country are expected to open bookings in the coming hours.
Dhurandhar 2 run time and screening schedule
Director Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge has a runtime of three hours and 55 minutes. Reports suggest that shows as early as 2 am have been scheduled in cities like Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad. In Mumbai, MovieMax Sion and Movie Max Wonder Mall in Thane have listed 2:15 am and 5:30 am shows. More multiples are expected to follow this trend to accommodate the almost four-hour film.
For Dhurandhar: The Revenge, theatre owners are planning to add round-the-clock screenings to manage fan frenzy and demand for tickets. It is being said that exhibitors are planning to adopt the 24-hour screening model for Dhurandhar 2 in many cities.
The film will release in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Apart from Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar: The Revenge features Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Manav Gohil, Gaurav Gera and several others as part of the ensemble cast.
