Rishab Shetty’s wife, Pragathi Shetty, played a crucial role behind the scenes of Kantara Chapter 1 as the film’s costume designer, helping bring the world of the movie to life with her creative input while also being his biggest support system.

After the film’s release, sharp-eyed audiences spotted Pragathi in a brief cameo in the mythological drama, appearing during the chariot scene in the first half of the film.

Not just Pragathi, but Rishab and Pragathi’s son, Ranvit, also made a cameo appearance in the film, while Pragathi had previously appeared in Kantara (2022) as the king’s wife.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Rishab described Pragathi as “a big support,” saying, “Whenever I left for shooting, her prayers would begin. If it weren’t for Pragathi, my wife, I wouldn’t have been able to finish this film.”

Known as the ‘power couple of Sandalwood,’ Rishab and Pragathi share a love story that reads like a fairytale. She provides the grounding behind his limelight, while he takes the lead on screen, creating a strong personal and professional partnership.

The couple met at a film event, and a few weeks later connected on Facebook, gradually becoming friends before falling in love. Despite initial opposition from Pragathi’s parents because Rishab had not yet achieved success in the film industry, they convinced them and married in 2017.

The couple welcomed their first child, Ranvit, in 2019, and their daughter, Radhya, in 2022, completing their family while continuing to collaborate creatively in the film world.

Pragathi’s professional journey includes working alongside Rishab in Bell Bottom (2019) as the costume designer and later contributing her expertise to Kantara (2022).
