Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 continues its unstoppable run at the box office, crossing Rs 1,564 crore globally and surpassing the Rs 1000 crore gross mark in India in its third week. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the spy action thriller has maintained strong momentum, with weekend numbers showing a fresh surge after a brief weekday slowdown.
According to the latest figures from Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 25.65 crore on its 17th day (Saturday), signalling a solid third-weekend jump. The film had already posted a massive Rs 674.17 crore in its opening week, followed by Rs 263.65 crore in week two. With this, its total India gross stands at Rs 1,179.30 crore, while the net collection has reached Rs 985.02 crore so far.
Overseas, the film collected Rs 10.00 crore on Day 17, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 385.00 crore so far. This pushes the worldwide gross collection to Rs 1,564.30 crore.
With the current pace, Dhurandhar 2 is expected to cross the Rs 1000 crore net milestone in the coming days. While it is yet to surpass the records of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Pushpa 2: The Rise, the film has already overtaken the lifetime India collections of several major blockbusters including RRR, Kalki 2898 AD and KGF: Chapter 2.
The film features Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who infiltrates the gangs of Lyari in the guise of Hamza with a mission to dismantle the underworld as well as the terror network affecting India.
The story explores the origin of his character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, and traces his transformation into Hamza Ali Mazari. Set against the backdrop of Lyari’s underworld, the narrative follows his rise through the ranks while he carries out his mission.
Also starring Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun, the film features an ensemble cast along with Danish Pandor and Udaybir Sandhu in key roles. The sequel also includes a cameo appearance by actor Yami Gautam.
Following the massive success of its first instalment, which earned Rs 1,300 crore worldwide, Dhurandhar 2 is now firmly on track to set new benchmarks at the box office.
